Plumbing Services in Carlsbad & North County San Diego

What We Do

Sixteen services, one C36-licensed team, one truck

Jack's Plumbing and Heating has run residential plumbing out of Carlsbad since 1991. Everything below is work we do ourselves — no subcontracted crews, no lead handoffs to a partner company, and no dispatch center in another county deciding who shows up at your door.

That range is deliberate. North County homes rarely fail in isolation: street pressure running above code takes out an angle stop, which soaks a cabinet, which turns out to be the second pinhole leak this year on supply lines old enough to justify a repipe. A team that only does drain clearing stops at the drain. We would rather carry water heaters, slab leak detection, sewer and gas lines, repipes, water treatment and fixture work on the same truck and finish the whole chain in one relationship.

Pick the service you think you need below, or call and describe the symptom — we will tell you which one it actually is.

Pipes, Sewer, Water & Gas Lines

The buried and in-wall work. These are the jobs where a camera, a permit and a correctly sized pipe separate a fifteen-year repair from a callback.

How a Jack's service call actually runs

The same four steps whether it is a $200 disposal swap or a whole-house repipe.

  1. 01

    You describe the symptom

You get someone who does the work, not a call center. Tell us what you are seeing — the warm floor, the hissing wall, the water heater that ran cold — and we will tell you what it usually means and what it takes to confirm.

  2. 02

    We diagnose on site

Sewer lines get a camera. Slab leaks get acoustic and electromagnetic location. Pressure complaints get a gauge on the hose bib. We do not quote a repair before we know which one you need.

  3. 03

    Flat price before any work

Estimates are free and the price is fixed before we start. If the diagnosis changes what the job needs, you hear about it and approve it before anything else happens.

  4. 04

    Fixed, tested and guaranteed

We test the repair under real conditions, clean up, and back the parts and labor for a full year. If something we touched fails inside that year, we come back at no charge.

Choosing the right service

Questions about scope, pricing and how we work. Individual service pages cover the technical details for each job.

I don't know which plumbing service I need. Where do I start?

Describe the symptom and let us do the sorting. A warm spot on a tile floor is usually a slab leak; water at the base of the water heater is usually the tank; every drain in the house running slow at once is the sewer main rather than any one fixture. Call (760) 750-2626, tell us what you are seeing, and we will tell you which service on this page it falls under and what confirming it involves.

Do you repair, or do you only replace?

We repair whenever the part is still available and the repair will hold. Cartridges, fill valves, angle stops, flanges, zone valves and pressure regulators are all routinely repaired or swapped individually. We recommend replacement when the failure is the equipment itself — a rusted-through tank, a sewer line with multiple breaks, or supply lines producing pinhole leaks in more than one place — and we will explain which situation you are in before you decide.

Which of these jobs can you finish in a single visit?

Most of them. Garbage disposals, faucets, toilets, pressure regulators, angle stops, general repairs and a straightforward tank water heater swap are typically one visit, because the truck is stocked for exactly that work. Whole-house repipes, sewer line replacements and water service replacements are multi-day jobs, and gas line work and radiant heating depend on permitting and parts availability.

Is Jack's Plumbing residential only?

Our work is residential — single-family homes, condos, townhomes and rental properties across Carlsbad and North County San Diego. That focus is deliberate. Thirty-five years in the same housing stock is why we can usually name the likely failure from the symptom before we have opened anything.

Which brands do you install?

Navien, Rinnai, Noritz and Takagi on tankless; Bradford White and A.O. Smith on tank water heaters; Moen Flo for smart shut-off valves; InSinkErator and Waste King on disposals; Zurn and Wilkins on pressure regulators; TOTO, Moen, Delta and Kohler on fixtures. If you already own a unit and want it installed, we will fit it as long as it is a code-compliant match for the application.

How do I get a price for something on this page?

Estimates are free and we quote flat rates, not hourly. For most jobs we can give you a realistic range over the phone from the symptom alone, then confirm the exact figure on site once we have diagnosed it. You approve the number before any work begins, and it does not move unless the scope does.
